The Cold Air is Coming by Joe Cioffi

COLD WEATHER BEGINNING TO ARRIVE CHEAP THRILL SNOW THREAT LOOKS TO STAY SOUTH.

Midday model guidance still hanging on to this idea that a second wave developes on the front (that went through this morning) and causes some snow. But unlike yesterday the models are either further south as per the NAM (NORTH AMERICAN MODEL) or as in the case of other models; they are showing nothing at all. Nam today would have a small area of snow in Southern Pennsylvania between Harrisburg and the Maryland border and not amounting to very much.

Cold air will be gradually taking hold over the next few days. New Years Eve wiil be the coldest day. Temperatures will average between 4 and 8 degrees below normal which means many areas in Pennsylvania (except the SE) and New York State (except the immediate coast) and New England wont be getting out of the 20s..the northern areas not out of the teens. When the New Year arrives at midnight Wednesday night it will be cold but it will also be dry through all of the Northeast and Middle Atlantic States.
