BITTER COLD AIR ON THE WAY FOR THIS WEEK

60 DEGREE TEMPS TODAY WILL HEAD TO 6 OR LESS BY THURSDAY MORNING

SOME RAIN TODAY…SOME SNOW TUESDAY TO USHER IN FRIGID ARCTIC AIR FOR WEDNESDAY INTO THE WEEKEND

We have not 1, not 2, but 3 air masses to deal with over the next 7 days but first off we have today with temperatures destined to hit the 50s this afternoon as a cold front and the last of any showers moves on through. Then the decent begins.Monday wont’t be too bad but it will be much colder and you will feel it thanks to the 25 or so degree temperature change from the 50s to the 30s.

Tuesday a clipper will be moving though and this stands a good chance of leaving some snow on the ground..anywhere from a coating to a couple of inches in some places not out of the question.More importantly will be what follows that and it will be the coldest weather of the winter and the cold will rival the cold shots of last January. Wednesday temperatures will be in the teens and Wednesday night into Thursday morning temps will be in the single digits to near zero just about everywhere as the map indicates.

Temperatures will moderate on Friday but another re enforcement of cold air will move in Friday and and Saturday. No big storms are on the horizon for this week. However in parts of upstate NY and Western Pennsylvania, the lake effect machine will be turned on.
